Oh you guys are bad!!!!  I have been itching for another RPG game and have been thinking about starting up WoW again.

But oh so time consuming.

Will have to heavily rethink this.

If anyone is interested in starting a new char, I would be more then willing to him them out. My two main servers are Antonidas which is my Horde server, and Kargath, which is my Alliance. I am more then willing to assist if asked.

If I got back into an MMORPG again, I probably would continue my LOTRO character(s).

WOW is just to, uhm, out dated to me graphic wise and way too much grinding.

All of the MMORPGs are a bit of a grind. Just happens to be the most popular one right now. EVeryone has their fav though. Trying to get into the AOC myself to check it out.

The WOW grind I mainly was talking about was were you have to do an instance over and over again to gain rep.  To me thats too much grinding is all.

I am really interested in Mythos.

I played WoW when it was beta and found it to be WAY too time consuming.  :D  Which MMO isn't? I played Dungeons and Dragons when it launched and thought it was OK. I'm in the Age of Connan (AoC) and, well, it is in beta and my machine is woefully underpowerd. I like the story and the initial grind is not so bad. After 2-3 hrs. Im almost to lvl 7 (hey, I like exploring) and the beta is capped to lvl 13. Havn't gone into PvP yet.

Anyone here try with the private servers out there?

I've been messing with Mangos and created my own server. Nice way to explore the game completely, and not very hard to setup. The server emulator will run on a surprisingly low end machine too, or even on the same machine you play on.
Lots of customizable settings like exp levels, mob hp/damage, gold rates, and such.  ;D

This also solves my biggest problem with online games, I don't mind paying for the game, but paying to play it blows...  ::)
