The Game Haven will be hosting a Magic the Gathering standard tournament at NeXus LAN 20! Registration begins at Noon @ The Game Haven Booth. Tournament starts @ 2pm Saturday This will be a four round tournament with 50min per round. Prizes are based on your record at the end of the tournament: 4-0 - 10 booster packs 3-0-1 - 7 booster packs 3-1 - 5 booster packs 2-2 - 3 booster packs and 1 booster pack to every record below 2-2. Q: But I don't have a standard deck? A: Well The Game Haven has you covered. For $10ea I will several standard decks put together so you can sling some spells at people. These decks come sleeved and in a deck box. A spindown life counter is also coupled with these decks. Playmats will also be on sale to give you a smooth playing space for your new deck! Q: Will the prize packs be from the latest magic set Ixalan? A: At the time of this post the answer is yes, however based on how I like to sell things it is possible that the prize packs will be from a standard set that I have on hand this weekend. I won't know for sure until Saturday morning. I am happy once again to be a sponsor and attendee at NeXus LAN 20, and can't wait to watch some of you sling some spells! |
