I am open to most of anything other than LOL  ;D Hehe.  Still need to grab BF4, and racing/demolition games are alway fun. Is Titan Fall gonna be out by then? Would mind trying that out as a tourney.

I agree. We should approach the game makers to see if they would be interested in offering prizes and guidance with the tourney.

I always do, but never hear back from any of the game makers of the tournaments that people want run.

A Hawken tourney would be interesting.

COD MW 2 you cant run dedicated server or rent a server that's why that one is never in a tournament list.

There is an official dedicated server files available or you can rent one?

I can not find any official server files, or companies renting Modern Warfare 2 servers anywhere.

So my votes are for:

FPS -

Hawken (Really like this one, though when they swapped over to steam they changed A LOT)
Blacklight (pretty solid, though it really favors people who have paid to play.)
Titanfall (Ban the "Smart Pistol" and "Burn Cards" otherwise it's not worth having a tourny over.)


RTS/MoBo -

There's a mod if i'm not mistaken that lets you connect to a server/host a server.

Mods like Freeze Tag I do not mind using for tournaments as they will download when the player connects if they do not have the mod.   Things like un-official mods to run dedicated etc, that make people have to go an get things etc can be a major pain in the ass to tournament admins.     

If it was built in or official dedicated that didn't need anything added/changed to client that would work.   This is why I complain so much that dev ignore the LAN scene an do not give us LAN servers to run tournaments on.

Ah man the days when you could open all seeing eye and the LAN server list would just populate with all the glorious lan games

I would like to see DOTA 2, BF4, LoL, BlackLight Retribution all tournaments :)
