NeXus LAN 14 Tournament voting poll.

Please only vote if your attending Nexus LAN 14

Please vote for your TOP SIX (6) picks for possible tournaments at NeXus LAN 14.

You can vote for a maximum of 6 titles, but you do not have to vote for all 6 if you do not want too.

Vote will run for to Monday August 11th

Results will show once the poll has ended.

The top FPS and top Mobo game in the voting will be run as tournaments.   2 other tournaments will be picked by the admins.   Make sure to vote for the games you would like to see run because the admins do take into consideration the voting when they pick the 2 other tournaments.

How many tournaments will there be at the lan? Top 4? Also.... CS:GO OR BUST!!!!!!!  :) :)

There will be 2 from this pretty much top 2 yes.

The tournament admins will pick 2 more from this list as well based on voting / type of game.

Eg they want an FPS, Mobo for sure   So the top FPS, top Mobo, will pretty much be played, and then they will pick the 3/4th based upon general vote and what we normally run in types of games to round things out

Was there a reason Hawken wasn't a part of this list?  Just curious.  I'm assuming it was beat out by Titanfall?

Hawken was not suggested in the suggestion thread, and we looked into it last time and it does not have the ability to have anyone of any lvl in the same match.  So people would either be limited to a lvl or all would have to be high lvl to complete against each other.

I dug into the Hawken questions a little more an it's still the same.  No private match functions.

"When we eventually roll out dedicated server support, as a server administrator you will be able to set requirements for your server/s if you so choose, but for the time being, this is not something you will see in the game."

So at this time from what I can find there are no dedicated server rentals, or private match functions so its no possible to run a Hawken tournament at this time.

What is the reason for Admins picking the 3/4 tourneys?   Why not just take the top voted tourneys and run them? That is obviously what people want to play.

This is the way we do it so that the admins can have input on what they are running.   

Being tournament admins is a 2 day job they don't get to do crap other then run tournaments the whole time so we vote on 2 and they look at things and pick the other two. 

Some LAN pick all the tournaments with no attendee input at all.  Some vote on just FPS and Mobo and then pick what they want for their other tournaments.

Each LAN does it different but majority have some voted and some picked by staff.

Picking 3/4 is the same as 2 / 2 really.    We vote on the first 2 tournaments then staff picks the other 2.   I was just referring to slots 1/2/3/4
