Title: Why pre-register
Post by: Cra2hgirl on February 12, 2009, 05:00:59 PM
Hey everyone, if you are planning on coming to the NeXus LAN, I suggest that you pre-register for a couple of reasons:

1.  We are in the process of contacting sponsors and the more people that are pre-registered, then the better chance for bigger and better prizing.  Although the main focus of our LAN is having fun and gaming, it's always great to be able to award more prizes.

2. Space is limited.  We've heard a lot of buzz about this upcoming LAN.  We just announced the LAN and we've heard a lot of feedback from people saying that they plan to attend.  We just opened registration yesterday so if you want to guarantee your seat, you need to pre-register and pre-pay as soon as possible.

3. We have a special drawing that we will be announcing soon -- however you will have to be pre-registered in order to eligible for the prize.  More details soon.

I think Rod posted this elsewhere, but I wanted to add it to this thread to clear up any confusion:

Pre-registrations lets us and everyone know that you are planning to attend the event. You do not have to pre-pay for the event at the same time you pre-register.  After you are pre-registered you can pre-pay anytime until registrations are closed.  But please note, you must pre-pay to guarantee a seat.  If we fill all available seats by pre-paid registrations, only those registrations will be allowed entry to the event and also only pre-paid registrations qualified for the discounted entry fee.  If you are pre-registered but did not pre-pay then you simply just have to pay the "at the door" price when you arrive at the event.  If you would like to pre-pay after already pre-registered, you will be reminded on our home page or simply visit the registration page again.  It will keep you updated on your registration status.
