Hi Everyone,

We need your help.  Please use this thread and let us know what console tournament you would like to see at the LAN.  

I can only provide a single 360. If you would like another console as the tournament, can you bring that particular console for use in the tournament?

Sounds good to me.  If there is enough interest, I would be happy to make DDR the official tournament.  Just let me know.

Just wanted to update this thread:

JelliTyme (Richard)  is our volunteer console manager and will be attending this LAN. So I will let him decide on the game.  He will get back with me in the next couple of days with a final decision.  He will be the one bringing the consoles and running the tournament as well as cordinating with anyone who would like to play or run unofficial console tourneys or games. If you have any suggestions or questions please reply here and/or let him know.

The game will be either a 360 or WII game.  This is because our console sponsor tends to give us items for those consoles as prizes and raffle items.

The Main game will be Modern Warfare 2 random teams (prolly 2v2 since we use 2 screens but if more setups are there i'll run more). But if that doesn't tickle your fancy i'll run side tournaments afterwards. I will also have street fighter 4 (hd remix too), tatsunoko vs capcom, tekken 6, brawl, mario kart, Marvel vs Capcom 2, perfect dark 360, etc.

Awe...I was hoping for Toshindin on the PS1.

you could run whatever you want afterwards. I just wanted to keep the main game current, especially since infinity ward messed up lan pc play :(.

Quick question about the PC tournaments (sorry, I couldn't find the thread): If I don't have the version of the game on my laptop, will the files be available to join a tournament anyway?

We will have all patches available on our file server.  We will also have highspeed internet so downloading patches should not be a problem for any game if not on the file server.

By the time this LAN comes around, Halo: Reach will be out.  If we can get enough interest, I'd be able to supply an Xbox.

Lets play some Halo Reach.  My 2cents even though I think this thread was brought back from the dead...March??

Reach has been kicked around but we dont have any copies of the game to run a tourney on and would really need 2 copies, 2 consoles etc so you could do a 2v2

I sold my 360 because I have been playing PC games, and I didnt want it sitting around.  I could rent one if we don't find 2 copies.  I don't mind chipping in 6 bucks on a rental to try the game.  Or if anyone has a modded 360....

yep by all means bring your consoles.  But due to lack of experience with Halo Reach, etc we can not provide an official tournament at this time.  But I see no reason attendees can't bring consoles and play the game and even unofficial tournaments.  We usually have an extra TV or projector at the event, so although I can not promise anything, there is a good chance we can set one up for you.
