Honestly I think "Pay to Play" is going to kill this before it starts. They would be start to do what LoL and Dota2 and many others have done and just make the game customizable and sell the customization with micro transactions.

Its not pay to play.  It is 100% free to play.  They are going to make money on custom skins etc.

That's exactly what they're doing.  The tools will be free and anything developers make, they can release fore money and Epic gets a cut off of it.
