Far Cry 2 is pretty fun. It is basically Grand Theft Auto: Africa as you can chose what jobs to take and drive to the location to accept a job or not. You get a cell phone and have buddies that help you in your missions too. I can compare this to GTA4 and it looks like more and more games are taking this route of an open ended game with alot of similarities in the GTA series with how you start missions ect.
