I graduated from WSU, but not sure if that helps or not.

Does WSU have a forum anywhere on the net?  If so invite any gamers here and get a discusion going.

By the way, one of my plans this year is not just only LAN meetups but other get togethers as well.

Wright State used to have a LAN group called WIRED! LAN's. I went to one once, it wasn't to bad. They had a room that was pretty big and they got funding to pay for pizza so it was a free LAN to students and non students with free pizza and pop. I think they stopped because I haven't seen anything from them in a while and sent a few emails. They didn't advertise except on the student site under activities.

Just to update, from what I understand, Rod and Andy did check out the WSU room and we are going to utilize that room for smaller mini-LANs of 20-25 people when we don't have a main event going on.   But, I will let them elaborate more since I wasn't with them to check out the rooms.
