NeXus LAN 24 was fantastic!!! We will miss seeing everyone, but hope to see some of you at other LAN's down the line. Thank you everyone for years of support and fun!!!!

I agree, there is not a substantial increase in performance over the Ivy-bridge. I'll stick with my Sandy-bridge i5 and maybe move up to the i7 2600k eventually.
It's not impossible that the outlet is an issue or possibly the surge protector, anything beyond that would involve paying for someone to look at it. Good luck figuring it out though.
Most likely a short in the mobo with the four pin CPU power. Check if there is a physical issue with the plug. If there isnt a visible issue i.e. ; a bent contact, then you will probably have to replace. I wouldn't recommend running the hardware you have without the four pin.
