So I have notice a bump in speed for downloads recently and found out that indeed TW has given a "bonus" speed increase at no charge. Well, does that mean the capped data usage is next? Also, how will they implement overages? Charge for each GB over the limit or decrease the speed of download? Before the speed increase I was getting max speed for downloads in steam at 1.2 GB/s and then the rate would bounce around 700 thru 900 KB/s. Once the increase was enabled peak download was 2.1 GB/s and held steady at 1.7 GB/s. Now, after a few game installs this month I am getting peak of 850ish KB/s and then holding at 700's. Hmmm.

Thoughts?

I too have noticed this but not really in downloads but in uploads, which is more important to me actually.  I used to get 728K up but now I am getting 1MB up.  I plan to upgrade to their 30/5 plan soon though anyway so it is a wash but still nice to see a bump up for free!

The speed increase I noticed may be from...

...and not Time Warner.
