1577  NeXus LAN - Gaming Discussion Forums / PC General Discussion / Re: PC COD4 Maps on: June 03, 2008, 08:09:17 PM
Yeah IF there are no issues right away from the patch I will upgrade the servers to 1.6 but going to watch the net for a day before I do it.   The maps will be added to the rotation for sure probably more then once with different modes so they pop up more often as they are new.

I would say plan to be 1.6 for the tournaments though.

As for the grenade kill cam I would assume the killcam off setting turns both off but will check into it.

1581  NeXus LAN - General Discussion Forums / General Discussion / Consoles at the LAN on: May 28, 2008, 05:43:14 PM
Hey all,

On the subject of consoles.   We will have a limited # of open play consoles at the events.   Usually 2-3 units 360, wii, xbox 1 etc.    We will try to have what is needed for tournaments most of the time for instance when only 1 or 2 units needed.   When we do larger console tournaments like 4 on 4 Halo 3 or larger etc those tournaments will require people to bring there own equipment as we just cant supply that many units.  I personally prefer to bring my own unit when playing if allowed.

All paid attendee's get with there admission a spot for 1 PC or 1 Console.  Power connection, and 1 network jack.  So console players will be given space to setup there consoles and access to the LAN if needed/wanted.

We have 3 can support up to 75 players.   We also have access to several more from the school if needed.

1589  Past LAN Archive / Past LAN Tournament Discussion / Re: What kinda tournaments do you like at events? on: May 15, 2008, 08:01:56 PM
I am all for old school games.

Quake 2
BF 2
BF 1942
COD 2

Just need to like see which has the most interest and that people would sign up for down at up coming LAN's.

We want to make this a gamers LAN not per say a hard core tourney LAN so putting in things for fun, odd ball etc we are all for that.

1590  NeXus LAN - General Discussion Forums / General Discussion / Re: What is your favorite mouse? on: May 13, 2008, 08:31:35 PM
I am using a Logitech G7 Wireless Laser.   This is by far the best fitting, most comfortable mouse I have used.   Its way more accutate then my old Microsoft optical mouse and my Logitech optical.  I love the look of it.  Has 2 rechargable batteries and a base station that the wireless reciever and spare battery plug into.   If I dont want to take the station with me just take out a little reciever (looks like a small mem key) and the spare battery and go.  I can get 24+ hours of gaming out of 1 battery not tried to run one out completly yet though so not sure how long it will last total hours.
