The Quake Live is based on the Q3 engine, so you may want to considering an upgrade or two if you're computer can't run it.

Pretty cool, huh? As you probably know, Quake Live is id Software's upcoming FREE adaptation of Quake III Arena which can be played through a browser. It includes many modern updates, stat tracking, match making, and buddy support. It's also damn fun. Trust me.

This opportunity is being made available to people currently registered for QuakeCon 2008. If you haven't signed up yet... sorry! You missed your chance to be in the Beta. Shoulda, woulda, coulda... didn't. You snoozed, you... uh, lose'ed.

We will be mailing out about 1000 Beta invitations per day over the next week to randomly selected QuakeCon registrants. Please be patient as we try to get the game into everyone's hands.
