NeXus LAN 17 is less then 24 hours away!!!!

Hello NeXus LAN!

   NeXus LAN 17 is tomorrow!!!   I wanted send out a message with a few reminders about the LAN etc.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE - Please make sure you update your steam, uplay, origin accounts and games ahead of time.  This will make things faster for you, and much better on the network bandwidth.

Any game you plan to play download, install, update it before coming to the event.

Turn OFF any torrent software that auto launches on your PC etc.   If anyone is found torrenting at the event they will loose internet access.   

Things to remember to bring to the event -

PC
Monitor
Power Cords
Network cable.  (we recommend a 25' cable)
Keyboard
Headset (no speakers)
Mouse
Mouse Pad
Power strip to plug into ours.
Chair if you like,  the Moose has nice new padded chairs for all to use.
Card an board games if you like.  Plenty of people to play with and room.

You many only have 1 PC and 1 Monitor hooked up the the power at any time.  If you bring a console as well you will need to turn off the PC to turn on the console.

Things not to bring -

NO carry in alcohol period.  Anyone found doing this will be removed and banned from the event for life no exceptions.
Portable heaters
Microwaves
UPS units
Speakers

Miamisburg Moose Food Policy -

Any time the kitchen is open there is to be no carry in of outside food.   They have a great and very reasonable on site kitchen.   If you go out to eat please eat at the restaurant, or in your car in the parking lot.   We get a discount on the event because they have the kitchen open for us.

Alcohol purchasing at the event -

Anyone wishing to purchase alcohol must be 21 years of age or older.    You MUST be wearing your event badge, and get issued a wrist band before being allowed to buy alcohol at the event.   You may only buy alcohol for yourself.  Anyone caught trying to buy alcohol underage will be removed and banned from the event.  Anyone caught buying/giving alcohol to a minor both will be removed/banned from the event and the authorities will be notified.

Smoking at the event -

There is no smoking inside the event.   Smokers are to go outside to the smoking patio.  Please do not smoke in the parking lot-

Vaping at the event -

Vaping is allowed with the following rules.  NO large clouds.  If anyone around you does not like vaping please go elsewhere or outside.

Cheating / Hacking -

Anyone caught cheating in a tournament, hacking servers, etc of anytime will be asked to leave the event.
