If you have already upgraded to version 196.75 of the NVida drivers, it is high recommended to roll back to 196.21.  There have been reports that the driver has caused overheating GPUs and other issues caused by changes to the fan control. NVidia is aware of the problems and has removed the drivers from their site and includes this warning on their driver download page:

196.75 Alert!
We are aware that some customers have reported fan speed issues with the latest 196.75 WHQL drivers on NVIDIA.com. Until we can verify and root cause this issue, we recommend that customers do not download this driver. Instead, please stay with, or return to 196.21 WHQL drivers. Release 196.75 drivers have been temporarily removed from our website and we also are asking our partners and others to remove temporarily this 196.75 WHQL driver as well.

Keep the drivers, install rivatuner and tell it to run the fan @ full speed.

Is there any improvements to 196.75 over .21?  I use 196.21 on our GTX 275s and seems to run ok... Well at least Bad Company 2 runs fine.
